We stop here every year, it is a very large room with a well equipped kitchen, nice outdoor space with swimming pool. Very kind staff, speaking in English as well.

The location in the woods but near the city of Gap is beautiful. The hotel is well kept and modern. The food/restaurant is amazing. The staff is very attentive and they create a good atmosphere.

Hôtel & Spa Ax Hôtel is located in Chorges in Hautes-Alpes, 15 km from Gap, an 8-minute drive from Lake Serre-Ponçon and at a 20-minute drive from Reallon Ski Resort and 38 km from Orcière.

If you’re travelling the Route Napoleon by car from Grasse to Lyon like we were, this hotel makes a perfect half way stop. Not really near anything but next to a Brewpub that fortunately for us, being a Friday, had a great atmosphere and a live band. Room was entirely as expected with nothing whatsoever to complain about. Did not have the time to use the spa facilities and didn’t use the property for either dinner and breakfast as we prefer to go and explore the surroundings.

    Catherine’s apartment was amazing! Great location in the centre of Tallard, really comfortable and had everything we needed. Cannot recommend enough. Catherine was lovely and the basket of treats was extra special.

    We received a warm welcome on arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a small patio area to sit out in the garden. Breakfast was exceptional with a huge variety of food of which was sourced locally. They have a lovely restaurant on site our evening meal was superb. The surroundings was perfect as my husband is a pilot ,he plans to visit again via aircraft. Easy to find with easy access to the main road. We will be back.

    The breakfast was comprehensive and filling with a delicious variety of jams for our rolls together with lovely strong coffee. We also had a welome glass of chopped fresh mixed fruit to start with which we really appreciated. The room was a home from home with everything which might be required provided including plasters and arnica spray for sore legs and feet!

    Florence is a wonderful host. She was lovely and attentive, her attention to detail was impeccable. We were welcome with fresh fruit and juice in our room when we arrived. Our room was lovely, equipped with everything one would need. We had a delicious breakfast (mountain honey hello!) in the sunshine outside, the location is absolutely wonderful, I would thoroughly recommend staying there, better than a hotel.
