The first time we had stayed at the Apple Pie and it won't be our last. Excellent location with on the door parking. Staff welcomed us and explained the layout. We had the attic double room, so it was cozy, clean, and quirky. All amenities you need for your stay.
Next to Lake Windermere, the stylish Waterhead Inn offers an onsite restaurant/bar and comfortable rooms, many of which have lake views. Ambleside is just a 10-minute walk away.

Staff were friendly. Main meal menu was good, and good value. The parking is free for those who grab a space. The public parking next door is 8 pounds for 24 hours, if you can persuade the ticketing systems to work. However during a week's stay at a busy time, I only had to park in the public area once.
Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor located on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking.

The hotel is lovely with a nice sitting room and a great breakfast area. The room was small but nicely appointed. We knew there was no lift so we climbed 2 flights of stairs.
Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness.

Very nice stay B&B run by friendly staff. The room was gorgeous and very clean and tidy. Facilities were great, clean shower and bathroom.
Free parking round the back was great as the road is quite narrow. The building is very welcoming and nicely decorated throughout.
Located right in the middle of Bowness-on-Windermere and Windermere town, it was a 15 minute walk to get to either central point.
Nice touches with having access to fridges and freezers, also leaving a bottle of wine in our room on arrival.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, very welcoming.
The room was gorgeous (superior four poster) and very clean, being served breakfast in our room was great too, enjoying it at our own leisure and in PJ’s!
Great choice of starters; cereal, fruit bowls, yoghurts and choices of teas and coffee. Main breakfast again lots of choice and variations to please everybody, we had the cooked Cumbrian breakfast which was delicious.
Located in the heart of the village of Bowness-on-Windermere, this adult only guest house overlooks Lake Windermere. The ferry terminal and the marina are 3 minutes' walk away.

These hotels offer something unique in terms of design and are usually set in a trendy, urban part of town. Blending high standards with a homey vibe, boutique hotels are more intimate than your average hotel.
Absolutely stunning secluded location with a gorgeous view of lake Windermere, lovely walks very close by, beautiful interior to the cottage and the friendliest, most welcoming owners ever. Delicious cooked breakfast with lots of choice on cold options too. Had a really lovely stay with my boyfriend, thank you so much Liz and Chris!
The hotel staff were brilliant. A lovely designed doggy friendly hotel. The bar and restaurant served amazing food and drinks and felt very at home with our dog able to sit with us too. The breakfast choice was also really good! Nice that it wasn't a buffet either. The location is great, a short walk into Ambleside town centre and lots of walks just a few steps away to go on as well!
The property was stunning and the interior design was so well thought out and clearly no expense was spared. We loved the spaciousness of the cottage. It was absolutely immaculate and worth every penny.
Lovely Boutique Hotel, 5 minutes walk to Lake Windermere (Ambleside) and 10 minutes walk to Ambleside Town.
Dog friendly Hotel with a Dog Shower / Boot room
Super Cosy Room in a gorgeous stylish yet quirky Townhouse, location Perfect, extremely close to everything. Parking Permit is a brilliant perk of the Booking, especially as we could use it at so many other car parks around The Lakes. Totally Dog Friendly down to providing towels to dry off your muddy pup after, in our case, a few soggy walks. We would highly recommend this lovely Townhouse - will happily return ourselves, loved every minute.
What a beautiful little spot. The views were stunning. Walking distance to Grasmere which is gorgeous and close to Ambleside and Windemere. The house is warm and comfortable, amazing big beds and a comfortable living room with a great smart TV. We'll stocked kitchen and a lovely garden. We will definitely come back.
The interior design is beautiful and the garden terrace is lovely.
We loved the room in the new pavillon, absolutely beautiful and comfortable! 10 out 10.
The receptionists are welcoming, convenient and very friendly.
The location is perfect near the river, the lake and Ambleside city center.
The breakfast was really good and we loved the personal touches.
It was absolutely perfect for me, beautiful location, peaceful and the hotel was immaculate.Lovely interior design throughout.
