Studios At Glenthorne offers accommodations in Merthyr Tydfil, 24 miles from Cardiff University and 25 miles from University of South Wales – Cardiff Campus.

Perfect find for a weekend exploring Bannau Brycheiniog. The hosts were welcoming and advised about parking prior to arrival (easy on road parking) which wasn't a problem at all. I stayed in a downstairs room with small kitchen and bathroom which had everything I could need. Oven, hob, fridge (with milk!) Microwave and all cooking equipment. This room wouldn't suit a couple easily too. Everything was really clean, well presented. Very happy stay.

Outstandingly beautiful farmhouse in a gorgeous garden. Rose is lovely and makes one's stay special. Breakfast is superb. My second visit and I will definitely be returning whenever I can.

This is my 3rd stay here, and the 1st time was lovely. However, the food wasn't great, 2nd stay was a wet room, No 2. Apparently, the previous occupant flooded the room 🤔. Now my 3rd stay was a room cancellation, and it's a room designed for disabled people, so it's big, so it's not an issue (room no 1). but the food was disgusting and watery. There's no ketchup or mango chutney or any of other sauces, but mayo. I'm not happy, and to be honest, no one gives a S***.

Everything. It's a lovely boutique b&b so the whole house is stylish but still very cozy and welcoming. The bed was huge and really comfortable. Glen and Paula were excellent hosts, the breakfast was delicious and I'd recommend The Town House to anyone visiting the area.

We loved the room, the sense of luxury, and space. We had a stunning view of the mountains. The coffee and food at breakfast were outstanding- one of the best I've had. The peace and quiet were lovely. This is a place to really rest, and sleep well!

Excellent service, breakfast and room design. Ideal for a hiking weekend with individual touches like boot covers to deal with dirt from hiking trails. Similarly, the separate entrance is ideal for hiking and keeps the reception area clean and tidy. The breakfast had a lovely range of hot dishes including local specialties like Welsh Rarebit.

Lovely, cosy room with a gorgeous view of the mountain. Very comfortable, clean & with everything we could need. Paula & Glen were so, so welcoming & friendly & took the time to talk to us & made us feel really at home. The breakfast was so good (especially the waffles) & it was really nice to have an honesty bar for a drink in the evening. It was a real treat to stay at the Town House - home from home with a special, luxury feel.

Hosts are absolutely lovely. And the breakfast was exceptional - we were wondering if the owner used to be a chef, it was so good. The building is so charming and authentic, yet everything is done to guarantee modern comfort. Great shower, comfortable beds, modern design with personalised touches. Loved it a lot.
