Cleanliness was on point, the staff were excellent and the food was great. We chose to have afternoon tea on arrival and it was the perfect start to our stay - it was delicious and very reasonably priced. We like boutique hotels and the Douglas did not disappoint. There was something interesting to see around every corner. Douglas Duck was a nice touch. He is settling well in his new home. All in all, we had a great time and have already decided we will return.

We had a very lovely one night stay at Strathwhillan House - the host was friendly, room was cosy and clean, very close to the ferry terminal. Amazing breakfast! Would definitely recommend to others.. Very good and affordable place to stay when you are about to explore Arran :)

Lovely room with stunning views. Huge comfortable bed. Very deep bath with Arran Aromatics products. They were very accommodating of our 3 month old - reserving a table with space for a pram for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was also exceptional - we tried the Douglas stack and French toast. Nice coffee too.

Excellent location and lovely decor. The food in the bistro was very nice and the breakfast was excellent. The staff member we spoke to in bistro was very friendly. He told us about growing up in Lochranza-we liked that the hotel employs locals. The gardens were also stunning. Well done to the gardener!

ABSOLUTELY everything we could possibly want was there, even egg cups, measuring jug, tin foil, weghing scales, food mixer... you get the idea. All immaculately clean and fesh. Modern design. Welcome pack of local treats was lovely. Boutique products in bathroom a nice touch. We felt really at home and very special. Even a tub if bird food was supplied to refil the bird feeder. Lovely location with fantastic views. Really warm and cosy. Plenty of instant hot water.

The location was stunning. It was easy to go for beautiful walks from the cottage and also walk to Brodick . The house was spotless and had everything you needed. Although it was small, it felt spacious because of the design. It was lovely to see the stars through the skylight at night. The welcome pack items were delicious.

This is simply a gorgeous hotel in a perfect setting - the views are absolutely stunning and inside the hotel the decor is very modern and contemporary but still very suited to its history and location. The staff here are all lovely and welcoming and our room was extremely comfortable and a great size. The food here was exceptional. I will definitely be back!
