Location was rural, peaceful and charming although if you don't know the area a little hard to find. The accommodation was smart and of a modern design with a lot of inbuilt facilities which were useful. The towels and bedding were lovely, clean and soft and the accommodation had ample space to relax with a garden area. A thoughtful welcome pack was much appreciated. The lock box with the key made it very easy to access the property and it felt private and secure.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for Highclere Castle. The rooms were clean and well designed and the bed was very comfortable. We booked an evening meal - the service was really good and the food delicious. Breakfast was table service and there was a good choice of food on the menu. Full English was delicious. The American friends we travelled with loved staying at the pub and also felt the rooms were really well appointed. A bonus was a craft market next morning in the village hall.

Honestly I can't fault this place. Rooms were huge, quiet, beautifully decorated and equipped (down to the lovely china cups). Food was stunning as was the service especially Luke who met us when we checked in and served us all evening. Nothing was too much trouble. Lottie made a mean proper cappuccino which is really important to me as I hate sub standard coffee. It was such a pleasant surprise to find such a high quality place in a hidden location.

Fabulous pub with gorgeous accommodation! We were travelling with our pooch too and were made to feel extremely welcome. Great footpaths too for that dog walk just across the road. Lovely food and great breakfast, all rounded off with very helpful staff.

We literally couldn’t fault the decor inside and out. So, beautifully decorated, the interior designer certainly out a lot of thought into all the areas.

Lovely location, rooms designed well and comfortable bed. They were very short on staff but the gentleman who was dealing with reception as well as breakfast was welcoming, cheerful and calm, despite obvious challenges.
