Welcome to our 15th Century inn where our modern twist on the traditional creates a wonderful setting to enjoy our food, sample our local ales, explore our wine list and rest a weary head.

The Breakfast was excellent, the accommodation was excellent. The Bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and of good quality fittings and the toiletries were also of a high grade. Oh and the towels were good quality too. The Pub with rooms is situated on the end of Church Walk but at the end of the cul de sac is the most magnificent Church. It is so ornate and has windows equivalent to the filigree of fine silver. The village even has its own stately home with a folly on on the public green. All in all a most delightful place to be.

Set in beautiful Suffolk countryside, this grade II 16th-century coaching Inn’s offers 11 rooms.

A basic buffet was offered, however the staff were very accommodating to requests, both in the restaurant and generally. The food was hot and very well presented. I really liked this Inn as it was light and airy yet it had a warm cozy feel to it too. It also had a nice outside tabled area, weather permitting.

The Swan is exceptional, it’s quirky and full of character especially the bar with the signatures of war heroes across the walls. The staff are all so attentive, James the general manager and all that work there are friendly and welcoming, really top class hospitality! Breakfast was delicious and Martin the maitre’d just a lovely man to chat to in the morning. All round just a lovely place to spend a weekend.

The room was a lovely size, gorgeous beams and the BEST shower I have had in England ever. The room was cleaned to a very high standard every day and was airy. We had a view over the town square which I loved. The room was situated above the terrace which I did not mind because everybody adhered to the quiet after closing policy. We did not eat at our hotel because we spend all days exploring the area and surrounding villages.

Beautiful cottage with a gorgeous patio and garden (including cheeky Gnome & pink sheep).. Comfortable bed, comfortable large sofa, kitchen had everything needed including various ways to make your coffee. Beautifully furnished, Heathers attention to detail is immaculate. Equally she keeps the garden beautifully, really is quite the little haven we all yearn for. Booked last minute but easily accessed after a quick call. Heather is a lovely, helpful host.

Warm and friendly welcome by staff and locals, lovely clean spacious room with a very large comfortable bed. Stunning location overlooking the market square surrounded by beautiful historic buildings. The restaurant food was some of the best we have had, good selection for a light lunch or a hearty dinner. Overall a outstanding night away which we most definitely will be visiting again. 5 stars. Thank you.

Beautiful cottage in the heart of Lavenham. I rented this cottage for my parents over the Christmas period and they loved it. Very comfortable, beautifully designed and well thought out in terms of the layout. Small touches like a breakfast bowl filled with cereal, coffee and little chocolates which was very thoughtful. Gorgeous little garden out the back. The bathrooms were both so modern and the added touch of having the bathtub in the bedroom was a lovely treat. Would definitely book this place again! Thanks Heather
