We were met by Lissanne, a lovely, friendly lady who greeted us with a cup of tea and a piece of Banana cake which was a lovely way to welcome guests! Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious; I loved the colourful wallpaper! The Cleveland was pleasantly decorated with an easy to use staircase and strong banisters. I have osteoarthritis and that is really important to me! The ensuite bathroom was clean and well designed with soft towels and toiletries if you needed them. Our host Matt was a pleasant gentleman who was also friendly and helpful. Both my husband and I enjoyed a very comfortable night's sleep, a good shower and an extremely tasty breakfast. All ingredients were of good quality; the provenance of each was listed on the back of the menu. We knew of each location too! Lissanne's jam, marmalade and fudge are all homemade. I recommend a purchase of each of them! Have a good Easter Archie!!

Mamdy and Sharon are absolutely wonderful hosts, they surprised me yummy gf treats on the tea tray and at breakfast... one of the best tea trays we've had in a B&B! Lovely room with everything needed, and a nice big shower. Nothing too much trouble, they delivered an iron and board on request and topped up the delicious coffee bags when we asked. Delicous breakfast with great GF choices on both mornings

The room was decorated to a high standard it was in a good location with lots of extra nice touches. The owners were very welcoming, and we had a superb breakfast. We will definitely return to Carlton Court.

The hosts were an amazing couple and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast again faultless. It's in walking distance to the sea front and the town, set back from a main road so no noise from traffic. Hoping to stay again when we can.

Great value for money! Ganesh met us as we arrived at the rear of the property, which offered free parking ( space a little tight but we managed), and he then checked us in swiftly. The room was clean and comfortable. A bar is available for pre dinner drinks but as we arrived late in the evening we didn't have time to pop in this time. Tea coffee and water in the room ensured we could relax with a drink before heading out for dinner. A good night's sleep followed. The bed is very comfortable. The shower worked well, with toiletries available in the bathroom. We didn't book breakfast as we were heading down to the harbour to enjoy the views in the sunshine whilst we had morning coffee. We will definitely book again when coming to Torquay.

Karen is a wonderful host, very friendly. Nothing was too trouble for her, she had great local knowledge in guiding guest how to spend their days. Breakfast was outstanding, lots of variety to suit even the fussiest of eaters.
