Close to the city centre and only a 10-minute walk from the railway station, Holiday Inn Stevenage has a mini-gym and boasts a modern and stylish Destinations Bar and Restaurant.

The service was excellent and we found the room comfortable. The dinner too was excellent. An improvement to make would be to heat the dining room for the evening meal, as that room was rather cold.

Set in stunning gardens a mile from Ware, Fanhams Hall is a listed Jacobean Manor House building.

The room was small but perfect for our overnight stay with all the facilities you would expect from a first class hotel. The grounds of Fanhams are outstanding and certainly worth taking the time to explore. I would like to express a special thank you to Jonny who is one of the management team, he handled an awkward situation relating to a small catering issue with great empathy and expertise. He really is a great assett to Fanhams and deserves to be commended.

I loved how polite and friendly the staff was and how they liked to have a laugh and join in the giggles and how they cared about their guests. I loved the breakfast wasn't a huge choise but was enough to get you thro the morning. The bathrooms were an unusual design but was a decent size the beds were really comfortable. The housekeepers were polite and friendly too even tho we onli had a short interaction with them
