With free parking and WiFi, The Mill Hotel Sudbury is in the centre of Sudbury, on the banks of the River Stour. It has a bar, restaurant and sun terrace each with picturesque views over the meadows.

Despite being on the third floor, the room proved to be very good. Clean and airy on a warm day. Breakfast was excellent . Staff were helpful and welcoming. Hotel site was wonderful and we took advantage of the walk info. provided by the hotel. The enclosed water mill feature was interesting as were the other historic details on view.

Set in beautiful Suffolk countryside, this grade II 16th-century coaching Inn’s offers 11 rooms.

A basic buffet was offered, however the staff were very accommodating to requests, both in the restaurant and generally. The food was hot and very well presented. I really liked this Inn as it was light and airy yet it had a warm cozy feel to it too. It also had a nice outside tabled area, weather permitting.

We stayed the night of our wedding, there was a little plate of macarons and chocolate "congratulations" written on the plate. The bed was super comfy and the room was extremely spacious. Location is stunning and we enjoyed a lovely walk around the local area in the morning.

The hosts were welcoming, friendly and fun. They chatted and shared places to go, we sat one evening with them and it felt like we were staying with friends. Ancient architecture, huge fire place, lovely gardens to sit in. Highly highly recommend. We are going back for sure. Fresh food, wide variety, good coffee…. And two gorgeous cats. Loved it!

If looking for a place to stay which includes the traditional feel of historic town with a little interior design and modern facilities, this is better value for money than some of the other higher price places to stay in this and other towns close by. Good to have easy parking included on site. All staff very polite & helpful.

The interior design was exceptional. Beds were comfy and shower great. First class and such a quiet spot except for the neighbour who decided to sort out his recycling and squash down the bottles at 10.45:(

The effort made with the interior design was good and the space in the rooms with two separate bedrooms with wall divide, gave a feel of being in a private flat. Rooms clean & comfortable. Had a quiet private breakfast. The self serve basic continental, cereal & fruit breakfast, juice & hot drinks, covered needs, & made a healthier option than available outside hotel. Free car parking at back of hotel. Manager viewed, checked our car was parked in free safe place.
