This elegant 18th-century country house is situated amid the quiet of the Somerset countryside, yet within reach of the M5, just 8 km from Taunton and Ilminster.

Great place to stay in a beautiful quiet location. Room was excellent with superb bed and excellent shower. The breakfast was excellent and service faultless. We dined at the restaurant both nights and were delighted with the standard of all dishes.

-Great property and great location. -Just tired and old inside but not in nice old style way. -Took 5 mins for hot water to come thru on the shower. -They hotel seemed pretty empty, but they put me in a room which was miles away from reception. -staff all seemed nice -breakfast was average and the hot food was poor.

The Bower Inn is an 18th-century building, located just off the M5 motorway and 2 miles from Bridgwater town centre. It offers stylish rooms with luxury bathrooms and delicious homemade food.

The hotel was really nice, very clean and the extra things in the room such as the really good coffee and home made cookies made it even more pleasant. The food and drink was also very good, and the staff very friendly, polite and helpful.

In landscaped gardens, The Hollies has spacious rooms and suites featuring lounges and 42-inch plasma-screen TVs with digital channels.

Shower was very low flow of water. A few signs in the room of wear and tear, iron burn on matting, bedspread some small dirty marks.

Very helpful staff. The room was perfect for an overnight stay for work purposes. Everything is there for you, and it's perfectly proportioned. I was impressed by the dual function bathroom / toilet door. Great design!!!

They had truly thought of everything. Perfect overnight stop off for us on the way to Cornwall, but we could have stayed longer, in a lovely rural setting and wonderfully designed rooms. The bed was super comfy and there was a nice little garden for the dog too. We’ve stayed at lots of places that don’t have an enclosed garden, so was really a bonus. I loved that the room looked out on fields too. Nice quiet location. Thank you for having us!

The hotel is in a lovely location: a very quiet rural village in beautiful countryside, the staff were extremely welcoming and efficient and the food was very good quality and served piping hot. The room was well designed and comfortable, there was good Wi-Fi, tea and coffee and the hotel left guides to the local area. I would certainly stay here again without a doubt.

The inn is lovely and I wished I'd had more time there. The rooms are designed in a creative way and feel special. Breakfast was great. Doors are damped so you don't get disturbed by other guests arriving late

Wonderful atmosphere, the building is exceptionally beautiful and well kept. The interior is designed with care, is very stylish and cosy. The place was immaculately clean. The staff were super friendly and just lovely, very helpful and welcoming. The food was beyond delicious! The locally sourced sausages and jams were the best!

Loved the host, the location was spectacular and the pictures don’t do the place justice! It is just incredible. We started a fire to cook our dinner on in the designated fire place and walked nearby to say hello to some sheep and horses. Stunning place to rewind
