I enjoyed the entire experience of staying at The Bell. Rooms, restaurant, staff, pub and the beautiful back garden patio were all lovely. Large parking lot behind the property.

In general, I had a really good stay. On arrival I had to go to the pub to get the pin number for the door even though booking.com gave me a reference and a pin number. I didn’t really understand why I had to go to the pub. It didn’t really matter as I’ve arrived in working hours. There were just a few things that I feel could be improved. When you go into the chalet there is a step there. I fell over that, a mind that step notice would’ve been really helpful. The bathroom was really nice, the tapwater was exceptionally hot. A notice there would also be a really good idea. Breakfast was provided, but it was a bit of a letdown. I really like the fact that you provide a pint of milk. The teabags were not wrapped. I like a wrapped teabag, I don’t want everybody else’s fingers on it and I am not a fan of Nescafé granules. A little coffee machine would’ve been really nice, the croissant would’ve been nicer if it had been fresh. A small microwave would also be nice. But as I said, I did have a nice stay. Bed was very comfortable and I slept exceptionally well. I’m very picky. I admit it, but I do think that the hot water and step are safety issues especially if you’ve got small children staying and improving the breakfast and the facilities would really elevate the stay. I did have a meal in the pub that is attached which was delicious, the staff were very nice. I would stay there again.
These hotels offer something unique in terms of design and are usually set in a trendy, urban part of town. Blending high standards with a homey vibe, boutique hotels are more intimate than your average hotel.
Wonderful quirky designs in the rooms. Loved the rolltop bath with tiny bottle of bath salts. Loved the soft sumptious bed with blanket over. THe restaurant food was super.
Loved the design, decor and individuality that has gone into the design decoration. It has a great sense of warmth and hospitality, with a boutique touch.
Absolutely lovely. Comfy bed. Medium. Comfy pillows soft luxury linens and towels. Well appointed kitchen area. Full size hob oven fridge freezer. Lovely hosts. Beautiful garden as well as somewhere to sit outside. Large wet-room sorry forgot to take a photo. We stayed for a week. Plenty of room. Thank you so much for your welcome pack and hospitality.
Ticehurst is a lovely little village, we arrived when the pub was in full swing and it was very atmospheric, the bedroom was large and beautifully designed and the gardens were stunning, check in and out were very friendly and charming
