Fabulous stay last night with my daughter as part of a joint birthday trip. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Crowne Plaza. Finding the hotel was very straightforward as it's off an arterial route (we had quite a long drive from the north) with secure parking in the multistory car park alongside. The hotel inside is very well presented and feels very high quality. The delightful female reception staff were warm and welcoming and wished us both happy birthdays (we both had birthdays over the weekend). I unfortunately did not note the name of the lovely receptionist who checked us in). They had also upgraded our room and left a lovely birthday card written and signed by the general manager, with a gorgeous little platter of decorated macarons as a birthday treat. What amazing attention to detail. The room was fabulous, large and tastefully decorated with such comfortable double beds. Everything at hand laid out with care and attention. Copius USB and socket charging. Digital room thermostat which worked. Fridge in the room, full size bath and very large shower. Apotheke toiletries. Layout of the room and bathroom well designed in terms of placement of powerpoints, mirrors and towel rails/hooks etc. It's amazing how many hotels don't manage that. Plenty of fluffy towels, water bottles in room. Ice and cooled water stations on each floor. It was also gloriously quiet. Breakfast had a fantastic selection across fruits, breads, meat/cheese, cereals, accompaniments, cooked items, fresh waffle and pancake makers etc etc... The staff greeting us in the breakfast restaurant were again so professionally polite and welcoming (and very professionally attired too), explaining the layout and offering us seating options. Those kinds of interactions give such a positive impression. On our departure the reception staff (James and Beth) were cheerful and warm (and wished us happy birthdays again!

Breakfast was nice and good selection. Only negatives no smoked salmon
These hotels offer something a little different in the way of design and usually sit in a trendy, urban part of town. More intimate than your average hotel, they offer high standards with a homely vibe.
Stunning hotel. Room was beautiful, super large comfy bed. Bath robes and slippers in the room and Dyson hairdryer was a big plus! Breakfast lovely and decor in the restaurant just beautiful.
Great choice at breakfast, rooms are stunning and option of bath and shower and robes for extra comfort. Staff were lovely, the ambience of the place just lends itself to relaxation!
Amazing staff who worked so hard day and night I was amazed how hard they all work hotel is beautiful food is lovely too attended a party and it was perfect absolutely gorgeous hotel
We booked a luxury suite and an executive double. Both rooms were outstanding, the suite in particular. The dressing room, the large living area, beautiful view, extra toiletries. In my view, this hotel is really a 4+ star - much closer to 5 star than 4. Food was generally lovely (although my father in law did say his steak in the bar area was overdone and small, but a minor issue). Overall, great value for money and we would definitely stay again.
