G, You Look Good to Me! An outstanding style icon on the west of Ireland hotel scene, Galway’s g Hotel has upped the style stakes even further in a dramatic one-million-euro refurbishment of its...

This is an elegant but aging hotel that is very poorly maintained and isn’t anywhere near what you might expect from a 5 star hotel. The location is good and the staff are very nice and friendly and an issue I had in the spa was very well handled by a great spa manager. The meditation room is lovely however it looks out onto rotten timbers, dead plants, weed growth and is unsightly and unkept. No swimming pool. The breakfast which is served to the table is excellent and the seating areas for teas, coffees, and drinks during the day are classy. There is a huge need for a deep clean and ongoing attention to detail and cleanliness, someone needs to step back and conduct regular inspections. View from the bedroom window was a dirty walkway with pieces of scrap metal, dried up leaves, dirty timbers etc

The Galmont Hotel & Spa overlooks Galway Bay and is just 200 metres from Eyre Square. It has an award-winning restaurant, Spirit One Spa and Energize fitness and leisure.

Staff at breakfast were unfriendly and seemed to stand around more than see what was needed . Cutlery was not replaced and no spoons put out . Such a pity when breakfast itself was very good . A smile costs nothing and would be nice to see staff happy at their jobs

The rooms feature a comfortable bed and a marble bathroom with designer toiletries. Rooms also feature a flat-screen chromecast TV, complimentary WiFi and press reader.

Room was a bit cold - had to call reception to turn on radiator. Towel was dirty and had to have it replaced. Empty paint pot outside room to collect water from leaking roof. Otherwise location was brilliant, food great and breakfast excellent - staff were friendly and were very helpful

This contemporary hotel with leisure facilities and free parking is located opposite Galway Racecourse, just outside Galway city.

Unfortunately the pool was out of order due to a problem with the plant room . Not the hotels fault just something that happens. Outside room 169 there was a very bright light than shined in all night but we got over it

Very nicely kitted out- clearly the apartment is well designed with lovely views in a pleasant area. The automated check in was slightly irritating but a phone call quickly resolved the problem. Everywhere was sparkling clean! Lots of hot water and gorgeous bedding/towels.

Lovely welcome from friendly staff with big smiles 😃 Gorgeous design, artwork and decor. Well stocked mini bar, Lovely bathroom with robes (couldn't find the slippers though!). Comfy bed, hair dryer and straighteners. The utdoor heated pool was a surprise and beautiful on a cold rainy day! Great cocktails in Sophies on the rooftop. Excellent service in Sophies too but we didn't have dinner, just drinks.

This is a really nice boutique hotel, which excels in paying attention to detail in the design of the rooms. I have stayed here several times and will undoubtedly stay here again. The decor is simple, tasteful, and very functional, something that I like. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom and the shower. The food served by the restaurant is nice, and the portions just right (no food wastage).

The interior design and room furnishings are of such high quality and the mattress was so comfortable to sleep on. The heated outdoor pool and sauna/steam room is nice to try out too. Dinner in Sophies was lovely, again, the new build and style of the building is so nice.
