United KingdomArrived late, resturant was about to close and they accomodated us, lovely food and service. We thought we had missed the hot tub. However, it was open till midnight, which was fantastic. Breakfast was lovely too.

Czech RepublicGreat location. Spacious and clean cottage. Very cosy and incredibly well facilitated. We very much appreciated fully equipped kitchen (including oven, coffee machine, salt, pepper, herbs, even clear foil for snacks and beer glasses in the freezer ready to be used! 😊😉 So thoughtful of Rosa!), clothes drying rail and electric fireplace which makes it easier to dry outdoor clothes on the rainy days. And a wash machine, if you need it. As we all are used to recycling we also appreciated separate boxes for plastics, paper, glass etc. It was really like from home to home! ❤️
Rosa is a great host. Very thoughtful. We found her book of tips for hikes, food & drink, shopping, driving in Iceland very useful.

It’s in a remote location which adds to the charm but it’s a drive to the nearest shops or restaurants. I ate before I arrived because I was unsure what food was available but there is a small menu that would have been sufficient for me. The breakfast provided was lovely. As many other reviews have mentioned, Bernat, the manager is wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the veranda was gorgeous! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, we were celebrating a 40th birthday, they put up fairy lights and balloons, they put cakes in the fridge for us! It was amazing! To use its corridors intelligently, they built it in glass, and it’s a lovely place to sit, relax, and wait for the Northern lights. There was lovely views out each window, and it was set in a very peaceful location. The cottage was well equipped and the kitchen area was a good size.
