These modern-built cottages are located in Reykjadalur 37 mi from Akureyri and 6.2 mi from the famous Godafoss waterfalls.

Perfect stay. The hot tub with its fresh geothermal water was SUCH a luxury. The house itself was very warm and cozy. Great place to watch the northern lights.

This hotel is quietly located 1.2 mi from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings.

The location is stellar. We had a room with view of the (frozen) lake. The hotel is sitting on a hill, so you could see the aurora easily if the weather had cooperated. The staff does give you wake-up calls for the Northern Lights! Dinner was wonderful, even if the menu is limited, and very expensive. We had the Blue Ling and the prawn ravioli.

We had a clean room and a private bathroom which is pretty hard to get in Island on lower budget hotels in island. The actual hotel is a boarding school in winter and they turn it into a hotel in summer. That means the restaurant is the school's canteen and the rooms are in the winter dormitory. It is well located in the vicinity of the Mytvan area, which has the maine attractions and it also has a swimming pool Breakfast was suficient and the bed was comfortable.

We loved the Farm stay with Abba and her husband.they were so warm and welcoming. The location is gorgeous. Rooms are big and comfortable . We had a great communal kitchen that was thoughtfully equipped. Abba was wonderful with the food - with home made biscuits and a lovely spread at breakfast. Abba also took the time to take us to the horses despite it being a cold rainy day - and explained a lot about the beautiful animals! Easily one of the best experiences of our trip.

We have been staying in cottages all over Iceland which has been great but it was lovely to stay somewhere with more space. The apartment was very well appointed, designed and decorated. It was very warm and had lots of useful information on the apartment and surrounding attractions. The apartment was easy driving distance to Lake Myvatn, we had a great stay and recommend this apartment without hesitation.

The room was beautiful, we were greeted very warmly and they were warming up the hot tub for us when we arrived. Our hosts were lovely and the view was gorgeous. Fully equipped kitchen was great for cooking dinner and so many things to see and do with a short drive.

Luxury apartment with great bathroom. It seems brand new! Nice host and employee. Good location if you don't want the midgets of Myvatn. It is about half an hour drive to the westside of de lake. Tip: walk to the small lovely church around the corner. It is mostly open, at least when we were there. If you walk further down the road you will see two waterfalls (you can't visit them). But be aware of the birds (a stick helps to protect you from attacks from the birds).

Stylish holiday home in a beautiful, tranquil spot just off the ring road. Conveniently located for all the sights around Myvatn. Lovely bright living room/kitchen area with great views. Hot tub in the snow every evening was fantastic!
