The place is situated in the historic center which woukd be a great thing. BUT… it comes with serious backfires.

I was looking for somewhere inexpensive to stay for one night near the autostrada for easy access. The 6 Porte Guesthouse was relatively easy to find although I think you need a car. The entry and check-in was all done by phone with the code sent in advance. We didnt meet Stefano until the next morning and he was nothing but charm, friendliness and very helpful. We didnt take the breakfast but it looked pretty good. The room had more than I had expected with soaps etc.
Situated within 1.3 km of Palazzo Te and 200 metres of Rotonda di San Lorenzo, Casa Valentina features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Mantova.

Host never answered any of my calls, messages to arrange check in. I was left outside by myself as a solo female traveller at night to a locked door. Has yet to still reply to my emails, WhatsApp or messages and I’m still chasing customer service for a refund who have to be the most unhelpful lot I’ve ever come across
