Great swimming pool, very spacious room with own terrace and kitchen, overall highly recommend! Perfect base for a Tuscan adventure

We stayed in the cottage by the pool which was great in a lot of ways, because we got a lot of added privacy and it was very different from a hotel. The host family is lovely. Stunning, clean, big pool within walking distance, with an incredible view across the valley. Calm and peaceful environment. Lots of space to relax and enjoy nature. There was everything we needed and more (even pasta, wine, glass bottles filled with water, travel adapters, one mosquito bed net, anti mosquito spirals). The apartment was beautiful and clean and very well equipped. We especially enjoyed the terrace with BBQ grill and direct view to the old central tower. The town is lovely, small and quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for. Laura and Beppe were brilliant hosts, they made such a great atmosphere and it was lovely chatting with them and the other guests in the evenings, the dinners we stayed for were some of the best we've had, the view across the plains to Volterra and beyond is stunning, and it's a great base to visit lots of Tuscany, including a nice little country walk to the nearby hilltop town Montecatini (which is lovely).
