Il Poggio Dei Pettirossi offers accommodations in Pettorano sul Gizio, 31 miles from Fucino Plateau.

Beautiful location for visiting interesting local attractions. Great host, who had lived in Boston so we had good English communication. Heat worked when needed and the WIFI was very good even on the balcony. Packaged products for breakfast and well equipped to fix other foods.

Sei Stelle enjoys a location in Sulmona, 20 miles from Majella National Park and 23 miles from Roccaraso – Rivisondoli.

Davide is among the most gracious and personable hosts we have EVER had, and we are in our 70s and have traveled extensively. Also, Sulmona is a lovely place.

Il Lavatoio Dimora Storica offers rooms in Castel Di Sangro, in the heart of the Apennine Mountains. The lobby incorporates a 18th-century restored wash house.

We liked everything. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable, the lobby displayed traces from when it was a lavatory - also from the history of the area. The room was good, the bathroom modern and well equipped and outside there was a private sitting area. The breakfast was all that's necessary - served by a helpful and friendly lady. It only takes a few minutes to get to the heart of the city. Very convenient.

It is a really comfortable, clean and rustique appartement with a perfect view. Pettorano as a town is a picturesque hidden gem. You can go for shorter and longer hikes in the daytime. Within 1,5 hours of hiking we stumbled across a hidden waterfall in a cave. Absolutely lovely there!

Lovely host Dominic was friendly and helpful. The room was huge, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The view was incredible and although it was in a very quiet position, it was only a short drive to good restaurants and bars. It made a very good base to explore the Abruzzo region.

It was in a beautiful location in the mountains. We had plenty of space indoors and outdoors for our convenience. The views were breathtaking and it was close to a quaint medieval mountain village. There were paths leading up to the mountains but we didn't have time to explore much. We did visit Sulmona, a beautiful historic town with lovely architecture, really worth a visit.
