We were on our honeymoon and it felt like we had the whole hotel to ourselves, which we were not expecting in July. It was a cool property and we liked how secluded it felt.

The family that runs their hotel is wonderful. They are very responsive, kind, and hospitable. The property was their family home and built at the turn of the century by their great-grandmother (I believe). If you're looking for an incredible value and an authentically Italian experience, look no further. They maintain their property with love and pride and everyone in town knows and respects them. Their recommendations for dinner were perfection. We look forward to returning!
The Excelsior is located in the city center of La Maddalena Island, a 2-minute walk from the ferries to/from Palau. There is free public parking in front of the hotel.

The room was clean, comfortable and well designed. Location is great and central. Bed was comfortable. The kitchen accessories were bonus. Overall, it was great stay.
These hotels offer something unique in terms of design and are usually set in a trendy, urban part of town. Blending high standards with a homey vibe, boutique hotels are more intimate than your average hotel.
Everything.
Most relaxing villa and grounds. Very beautiful design of building and outside terraces. Very calming atmosphere. All the staff (including the owner) were lovely and most welcoming, accommodating and discreet. Great and varied breakfast outside. Room spacious and great bathroom with nice products including slippers and good shower. We slept well and enjoyed it all.
Heaven on Earth.
Warm hospitality, perfect pool/sea view and holiday energy as soon as you see the place, the warmth of everyone working there, exceptional breakfast in the morning with gorgeous sea view. ❤️
You can see that there was a lot of work put in a design of the whole place. Every detail fits perfectly in the environment and I think it shouldn’t be unnoticed.
Overall very clean and tidy. Very secure apartment with new doors and locks, gated development with a spot for parking. Good air conditioner, nice kitchen, lovely sitting area in front garden. Staff were very polite and kind to allow us to check in earlier than designated time. They did very nice job and I would recommend this place for people who are looking for apartments in Porto Cervo.
Stefano was a perfect host, the apartment was lovely and spotlessly clean in a great location, right by Porto Cervo, but nice and quiet. We loved the design style of the whole block, even down to the door handles!
Attractive, well designed. Room was spacious and well equipped. Swimming pool, jacuzzis on lovely rooftop terrace. Stunning views of the sea and landscape.
Surprisingly good breakfast, beautiful view and we liked the interior design, not modern, but very authentic. Stunning view on the roof terrace, lovely to enjoy a drink here before dinner. Good restaurant as well.
Excellent location with a stunning view over Porto Cervo
A great breakfast, tasty and diversed
The design of the hotel is very elegant and stylish
