I enjoyed being able to have something in house, the coffee was great! The choice between western and Japanese style was also nice.
These hotels offer something a little different in the way of design and usually sit in a trendy, urban part of town. More intimate than your average hotel, they offer high standards with a homely vibe.
4 free parking spaces at front of property. Nice ,compact lounge area by small galley kitchen so potentially quite sociable if a solo traveller..Well designed space ,relatively near to main JR station.English speaking staff and some good recommendations for eating.
Maki was so friendly, welcoming and helpful!
She recommended local restaurants for dinner, and invited me to join the tacoyaki party they were having that evening.
The 8 bed dorm was lovely- gorgeous wood beds and cool decor. The beds were comfy and private. I was lucky since there were only 4 of us in the room, but I think it would be spacious enough even if it were full. Definitely the nicest guesthouse I’ve stayed at in Japan.
The little cafe shop was lovely and provides an affordable breakfast. The staff was kind and spoke some English too. The whole hostel is very stylish and clean with all the amenities you would need during your stay.
Sometimes you come to a place and you instantly love it. That’s what happened to us when we got to Shu. We were nicely welcomed by Mimima that did all he could to make our stay very comfortable. The room is nicely designed, with natural materials, has a zink and you can make your coffees there. There’s also a nice carpet to sit on and good lighting. The bathroom and shower are perfect and clean.
