The owners father even went with my husband to park our car in the proper designated parking spot after we parked in the wrong spot. We did get lost a few times so thank goodness he went along otherwise we would have become lost again. The place was warm, clean and very comfortable the Onsen was welcoming after a long day driving. Rooms compact but brilliantly designed - no shoes throughout with every necessary comfort and a really good traditional breakfast. Use the small but well-equipped onsen. Room is spacious, clean with modern design and the shampoo, body wash, and conditioner smells luxury. The breakfast is delicious with so many options of Japanese and Western foods. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Definitely will stay at this hotel again if I visit Nagano again. And they have sustainability program which donated unused toiletries.
