Re-opened in 2012 after thorough renovations, the Tokyo Station Hotel is registered as an Important Cultural Property and boasts gorgeous rooms in a classical European style.

This was my third stat at The Tokyo Station Hotel - it is sublime. From the moment you arrive, the staff are fabulous, helpful, friendly and just so darn nice! This trip was with a friend and we shared a room with twin beds - it was great, the beds are big and really comfortable. The bathrooms are amazing. We really enjoyed treating ourselves to a drink and cake in the lounge and also room service on our final night. The location is perfect for checking out Tokyo - so easy to get to all the different train lines and to enjoy everything Tokyo offers. The Imperial Palace is an easy walk, and a stroll through the gardens is an absolute must!

Designed by Kengo Kuma, Capitol Hotel Tokyu boasts 3 restaurants, a 14th-floor indoor pool and direct access to 4 subway lines. Rooms are spacious for Tokyo and have city views.

Amazing service, allowing us to check in early and arranging our bags to the room - beautiful room with amazing room service/ wind down services that was honestly hard to leave some days. Lots of amenities like gym, pool and a 7/11 in the basement is a great to have. Staff are polite and speak great english - always greeting us and helping if needed, my girlfriend needed a transformer for a UK hairdryer and they brought a large one up to the room within 5 minutes.

Facing the Imperial Palace, the luxurious Shangri-La Tokyo is conveniently situated right next to JR Tokyo Station.

Well this hotel is without exception the best I have experienced. We opted to have club lounge access which made the room extremely expensive but the club lounge was just wonderful with food and drink options outstanding. Location perfect virtually at Tokyo station. We took the Haneda airport electric trains but in hindsight with all our luggage wished we had taken a taxi. The room was beautiful, pyjamas so gorgeous I had to buy some to bring home, the staff were charming and the club lounge breakfast was unbelievably good and made to order. Cocktail 2 hours was first class. Views phenomenal of city & sky tree and the meet & greet service when you get off the train at Tokyo station took the stress out of our first visit.

Location was fabulous. Easy to access the excellent metro system and a short walk to Ueno park. Quiet residential neighbourhood with excellent small restaurants. The communal hotel facilities were very good. We had booked the hotel because of the outside spaces but the weather was too bad to enjoy them .

Room was really spacious (esp. given Japanese hotel standards), quiet and with a great double bed. Kudos on top-notch interior design, including modern turntable and eclectic choice of records. Staff was friendly and attentive. A real boutique hotel. The bar/breakfast area was also nicely designed as well and had good coffee (and coffee tonic). Somewhat “hipster“ in a positive sense — large windows łooking at the back entrance of JPX Tokyo Stock Exchange. Nice bar on ground floor specializing in sawa-based drinks.
