Standing tall along Embassy Row, Somerset Kuala Lumpur offers self-catering apartments a 5-minute walk from Ampang Park LTR Station.

This establishment was definitely designed for a long stay patrons cause the unit has most of what one needs for a longer stay - cooking and dining utensils, washing machine, a small room that may be allocated as an office. the pool is open until late which allows residents to unwind later in the day. the lounge was also well equipped to host potential guests of residents. location is also quite great - walking distance to Food Merchant (across) and the Linc.

Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur offers accommodation in the city centre, just a 5-minute walk to KL Tower and Petronas Twin Towers.

Having experienced the amazing Shangri La in Bangkok where I was expecting a special 5* experience with superb service and facilities, unfortunately this is more like a 4* hotel with mediocre facilities and often unfriendly disinterested service (in a 5* hotel you expect staff to at least smile if not say good morning / good evening when you meet but this wasn’t the practice here). The rooms are acceptable if old fashioned. The pool area is in urgent need of renovation. The gym was impressive. The breakfast was a big disappointment given the hype in the reviews - again not comparable to 5* hotels in Thailand or London.

The interior design Eventhough the room was small ( some) but the effort and extra work done for the looks is worth it. Like the bathroom design Cleanliness since 2021 is maintained Keep on the good works! Will always recommend family for a short stay here if they come to selayang

    - close to Zoo Negara, and 30 minutes to KLCC - very clean - wifi connection is good, netflix is working - aircon is also cold - fridge, oven, stove, even a pan are provided. - there's a pool below, but we didn't use - i slept on the sofa bed, it was pretty comfortable - owner briefed us beforehand thru whatsapp on how to get the keys and the rules etc. - designated free parking provided
