United StatesManakau Lodge is situated beautifully between the ocean and the mountains. Janice was a wonderful and gracious host, helping me with dinner recommendations and reservations, offering to drive us there, showing us walking trails nearby and providing us with fresh eggs for breakfast. The lodge is just perfect. Clean, beautiful, and had all the perfect “touches”. The sunrise that morning was incredible.

United StatesWe had a very nice overnight stay at the Boutique Hotel Kaikoura. The chalets were nice and I particularly enjoyed the breakfast the next morning. It was also a bonus to have parking readily available on site.

The owners have put alot of time, effort and thinking into making this stunning 5 star retreat. From the little touches and homely ideas, to the modern , clean , crisp decor, this place is sublime. Brilliantly located, with the mountains one side and the sea the other you get the best of both worlds. The resident birds, hedgehogs and alike make sitting in the garden a must.
