Good location near the forest and not far from downtown Rotorua. Comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, AC and WiFi worked well. We didn’t use the other on-site facilities.

The two bedroom suite was perfectly sized for our family of four (includes two adult children.) We had plenty of room and the amenities were just what we needed. The staff worked with me to insure I was able to complete my load of laundry prior to locking up the laundry facilities - this was greatly appreciated!

The pool is really great for my kids. We have been going for many years. They are getting older but still enjoy it. I also was delighted that there was a spare bed put in the room so everyone had a bed. We didn't ask or expected as the room was advertised only as 2 queens.
The daily room service was excellent.

Room was nice, breakfast was fresh and homemade. David and Grace were super friendly. Alpaca was a pleasant surprise and being able to feed them was nice. Far enough from city center, but not too far.
These hotels offer something unique in terms of design and are usually set in a trendy, urban part of town. Blending high standards with a homey vibe, boutique hotels are more intimate than your average hotel.
I loved our overall stay at Awa hotel. Firstly, the price is very reasonable for a room that's very spacious, immaculately clean, and the interior design is modern. Secondly, their room amenities are full-packed and their receiving area has a pool table and massage chairs to enjoy. Lastly, we had a good time chatting away with the lovely and smart owner, who we call 'auntie', while we were enjoying the delicious food from their restaurant. I highly recommend Awa hotel - home away from home. 👍
Great restored building We stayed in “Designer Room” had great atmosphere and very stylish
Staff very helpful with our late arrival
Great lounge area and plentiful breakfast
The Black Swan is a gorgeous hotel that has been tastefully designed for luxury and comfort. Our room had a view over the lake and our own outdoor fire should we wish to sit outside. the staff were super friendly and did everything they could to make our stay special. the grounds were manicured and would be very special in summer. This is the type of hotel you come to stay and relax in, rather than heading out to explore.
The apartment was easy to find and the communication with the host was great - there was a code provided so we could sort ourselves out. The studio has been designed with a certain charm and character and the layout was good. The bed was comfy and the heater made the place feel cosy. The toiletries were classy and it was a lovely touch to leave some wine, water and a few chocolates.
The wifi was excellent and the studio was a short walk to the lake and Eat Street.
Views are absolutely stunning and the property is gorgeous, really cool design and the bedrooms all have amazing views. Cosy living space with the fireplace too.
Everything was excellent. The room design is well thought out and very convenient, with a lot of small details which make it very comfy and stylish. The hosts are lovely and super helpful. We enjoyed our stay greatly!
We have booked two rooms, one was given brand new renovated, the other one was old design. The old one was fairly spacious and clean, it had bath tub, my kids was happy to soak in. The new room was great design, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is a bit pricey, would love to try if it is more affordable. Generally, I will book again.
We were here for a little bit of luxury and relaxation for our babymoon ;). Stunningly beautiful location and facilities, the staff were so friendly and accommodating especially Kym and one of the highlights were the incredible breakfasts. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant. Beautiful cosy conservatory space and gorgeous outlook over the lake all round. Room was lovely too and we enjoyed the sparkling water. Also made use of the pool and spas.
