Carmel and Siegfried were great hosts and also very lovely people. The rooms were spotless, the beds comfy and the bathroom very thoughtfully kitted out with everything you could need. We really enjoyed the breakfast, especially Siegfried’s homemade jam! The location of the house also allows for stunning sunsets and views all day long, and the garden was beautiful. We will definitely be back😊

What a gorgeous place this is and the view was awesome! The room was fantastic, clean and spacious, you felt like you were tucked away from the world! It was lovely and quiet and the little touches like the chocky biscuits and yummy “night cap” was wonderful. Alby was a lovely host, friendly and a wealth of knowledge about the best coffee places in town! Definitely worth a stay here in Thames.

A beautifully restored miners’ cottage with a gorgeous view of the sea. The cottage is luxurious and tastefully decorated. the hot tub in the garden is terrific. Everything is provided. The host has gone above and beyond to make this a stunning little retreat. This was my second stay and I look forward to many more.

The items supplied for breakfast were great. The cottage is really sweet and every detail has been thought out to make the stay enjoyable. Bonus to have a spa after the days activities. Loved the history surrounding the cottage. Comfy beds, gorgeous bathrooms. The heat pump had been on to make it cosy on arrival. Lovely views over the bay. We were two friends staying so the 2 brm 2 bath suited us well.

This is such a gorgeous home. Every room has its own theme and the decorations are just lovely. The breakfast that was available to us was aweome. Toast, croissants, 3 different jams, yoghurt, frozen berries, some other cereals, plunger coffee, sachet coffees, hot chocolate, tea, milk, what more could we ask for! We had such a great stay! Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay. My son particularly liked the selection of kids' books, and we all enjoyed the beautiful views! Susan is very warm and helpful. A lovely person. She accommodated our Keto diet by providing low carb bread ( beyond expectations) and provided a very generous breakfast. The unit is clean and comfortable, with all one needs to enjoy and relax after a day of hiking or sightseeing. The very cute doggo-Mia is gorgeous, too. Thanks, Mia and Hosts. It was memorable and relaxing.

First time in New Zealand I have stayed in good accomodation! Clean, pretty design, drinks (tea, cofee, even hot chocolate ready from the start), huge and beautiful bathroom, comfy beds, heat pump in the room, free jacuzzi under the stars! And because we were coming back by bus owner offered us a ride to the city center! This is perfect place to rest from busy job - house is located on the hill, at the end of the street, it's quiet, you can see lots of stars during night and bay during day. The owners are lovely couple.
