The grounds and building are beautiful and it feels like a real luxurious escape. However… the lack of outdoor seating for sunset was quite shocking. We watched people come to try and sit at the bar of the main restaurant (just one bar and restaurant for the whole hotel) and get told there was no space despite there being LOADS of space… just no furniture for people to sit? Seems strange to me.
We also had a fruit plate in the room on the first day which we had not eaten, this was taken away by the cleaners and when we asked could we possibly have one back the member of staff said (in a very snotty tone) ‘you will be charged for an extra one’. I think this is quite shocking considering the price per night of the hotel… I ended up asking for a single banana and was told no, even though there was an untouched one on the fruit plate.
I stay at ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi frequently and booked the Muscat equivalent hoping for the same seamless and impeccable service, which I did not get.
A shame really!

Beautiful resort - the long pool especially is tremendous. Night time is very special with beautiful lighting and fires.

The staff to the location was wonderful. Every single staff member was extremely helpful with all our requirements and extremely friendly. From reception to breakfast room staff. Hospitality was excellent.
Location of the hotel was perfect, close to a shopping mall and to the highway.
Booked a suite and very comfortable for a family of 4.
Thank you Golden Tulip Muscat 🌷

Pros : Location is perfect. Lots of restaurants and supermarket nearby. Bed and pillow is very comfortable.
Cons : Not enough towels provided, abit annoyed with that since they place only 1 towel in the room. We had to request many times only to be given 1 extra towel with an annoyed face by the house keeping. Toilet has a weird musky smell. Breakfast was plain.
Overall, not the best hotel to stay with family.
Located directly on sandy Al Qurm Beach, the Grand Hyatt provides spacious rooms with balconies offering panoramic views of the Gulf of Oman. Some rooms have views of the Hajar Mountains.
These hotels offer something a little different in the way of design and usually sit in a trendy, urban part of town. More intimate than your average hotel, they offer high standards with a homely vibe.
We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is quite and relaxing with beautiful interior design. The most we liked the swimming pool, it was very quiet in the morning. Breakfast also delicious and various.
Room was fine but had a musty old smell,
I liked the bathroom - design was practical
Balcony would s lovely, if it wasn't so humid to use it - amazing view of the city and the ocean
Staff was charming - reception, bell desk, doormen
Seems the hotel has some 'green' initiatives, i.e. wooden keys, refillable water bottles - good to see that!
The beds are extremely comfortable. It is the most affordable 5 star hotel in Oman.
The pool area is very nice with a nice gym and stunning view of the city.
They allowed me to use the pool area and changing rooms after I had checked out which was great.
Nice location close to malls - car is essential in Muscat!
Lovely hotel in Muscat. Staff are very friendly. The breakfast is nice. The room is spacious; the only thing is the wooden floor which gives the room a bit of a cold look. If there was more of a rug or carpet, that would really help along with slippers for the wooden floor. The design ad elevator are great. Great value for money
Beautifully designed and very comfortable. Pool was lovely and the afternoon tea and aperitifs were a lovely touch. The staff were super friendly at all times.
Amazing pool on the rooftop with stunning views. Great facilities and room - new, clean, comfortable and designed with style. Food was excellent too. And the staff is extremely kind, welcoming and responsive.
- The room was very spacious
- Aloft is near Muscat Airport. Taxi to and from Muscat Airport cost me OMR 7.
- Check in was very smooth and quick.
- The interior design is so trendy and eclectic.
- The bed was very comfortable.
