We had a fantastic time during our 3 night stay. The property is beautiful with different areas to relax and enjoy. Our room was small yet charming, complete with wooden floors and a private balcony overlooking the river.
The staff were warm and treated us like family, ready to help with anything we needed. Casa da Nora is a hotel, but we truly felt like we were staying at a family home. Many a moment was spent cuddling the resident cat, who happily greets guests and sunbathes alongside those enjoying the pool.
In addition to the homey touches, the restaurant on the ground floor is excellent. A variety of Portuguese dishes are available. I am not exaggerating when I say I had one of the best desserts of my life. Make sure to reserve a table as the restaurant is popular.
We will be recommending Casa da Nora to anyone who finds themselves in the area. A charming hotel with a true taste of home.
A 2-minute walk from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, Hotel Santa Maria offers a garden, a restaurant and a bar. Guest rooms include air conditioning, mini-bars and bathroom amenities.

We stayed one night at the hotel for our 2nd wedding anniversary. I had let the staff know (on the day itself) and despite the late notice, they organised a great surprise: they had placed little paper hearts all over the bed, two Champagne glasses and a small Cava bottle in the fridge. Super nice, thank you!!
About the hotel itself: the staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make your stay nice. The location is absolutely amazing, located along several hiking routes and close to several highlights. They also have bikes. The pool is really nice too (albeit cold!). Unfortunately the inside pool was still closed.
The rooms are clean and well maintained, albeit not really our style in terms of decoration (but that's personal)
These hotels offer something unique in terms of design and are usually set in a trendy, urban part of town. Blending high standards with a homey vibe, boutique hotels are more intimate than your average hotel.
Marco’s communication was impeccable. His friendliness and willingness to help us was very superior. We needed a small refrigerator and he hand carried it to our room. The facility and rooms seemed like new and well designed. The shower was great and heated up immediately!
First class hotel! Amazing interior, design, incredible staff and service! Paintings everywhere (owner is an artist), adorable souvenirs shop(with carefully selected quality items) stylish breakfast room with nutritious and appetizing food with a variety of options to choose from. Cleanliness is uncompromising. But what really captivated us was the breathtaking view from our terrace - Castle of Batalha just in front. We had just one night booked but we chose to extend our stay for an additional night. To summarize: a piece of art!
Great location just in front of the Monastery.
Apartment designed and decorated with taste, very clean.
Nice and attentive host, he welcomed us personally and gave us a few recommendations for the city.
Perfect place for a stay in Batalha. We felt very welcomed, the place itself is spotless clean, quiet and the view with the monastery from our room was just stunning. We even got the chance to get a complementary upgrade. Very professional and friendly staff, from reception to the restaurant and cleaning team. Price was way worth the experience, it's been a lovely treat.
Very cosy place with a fascinating and thoughtful enterieur design - just perfect!
Ana, the host was very welcoming, kind and detailed oriented, providing a lot of information about what to do and see in the village and the surrounding area.
Fabulous location with wonderful view over the monastery, even from the bed! Spacious and well designed studio flat. Very comfortable bed and shower. Good cooking facilities.Great Host- very helpful and quick to respond to communications- very kind to let us know that we had left an ipad case behind and arrange for us to retrieve it. Safe, well- lit street parking very close to apartment. Great baker around the corner for breakfast treats.Option offered to meet host to collect keys or use lockbox
Lovely patio with a stunning view over the monastery. The room was spacious enough for a two-night stay and the bed was very comfortable. Exceptionally friendly staff and people we encountered in town! Great place to stay for one or two nights to explore the surroundings.
A very well situated small boutique hotel with wonderful views of the monastery. It did not have the style of some of the older hotels we stayed in but the hotel made the very most of what it did have. We ate jn the restaurant and enjoyed an excellent meal, as we also enjoyed breakfast. All the rooms gleamed, I have rarely stayed j such a spotless building.. From parking is available a few yards from the hotel entrance.
