Set on a hill boasting views of the terraced vineyards of the UNESCO World Heritage Douro valley and the Douro River, this newly renovated 19th century manor house offers guests therapeutic spa...

We booked a room with a river view for one reason we wanted a balcony. In the pictures that appear in the booking, you see a room with a balcony. In fact, they don't get a room with a balcony. When we arrived at the hotel, they greeted us with a very nice reception and offered us the room without a balcony, and if we want, we have the option of paying another 400 euros per night and we will get a suite. We refused to pay. After I checked the reservation and saw that there is a deception to the public that they show a room with a balcony in the booking and that is not what we received. I contacted them with a complaint and then they offered us to move to a room with a balcony. I was angry that they didn't offer the possibility to receive what was originally ordered but they apologized and had nothing to say about it.. Apart from the room problem. I would like to point out that the hotel is amazing in its beauty. The hotel staff provides excellent service. And we had a lot of fun. The room thing gave us a very bad feeling. And I will contact the management of six on the subject as well.. There is no explanation in the booking that there are several types of rooms, some with a balcony and some without. It's not right. And before guests are offered to pay another 400 euros per night, the public's deception on the booking should be answered.. and give a solution to the customer that does not cost 400 euros per night.. After we had already paid an expensive rate for an upgraded room with a balcony.

Location was far and away the most beautiful spot to view the Douro valley. We had a room with a terrace and it was lovely to sit and just take in the views. the pool location was stunning and the breakfast was great as was the dinner in the restaurant. the staff were lovely and very helpful. we also had a complimentary tour and tasting of the vineyard and the girl was extremely knowledgable. It was also in a good position to explore the Douro valley. You do need a car or a driver.

Stunning villa overlooking the magnificent Douro Valley located in a traditional little Portuguese village. We loved our stay here and were lucky enough to be able to extend for an extra night! Lovely walks to do in the area - we even walked 5kms downhill to Quinta do Tedo for lunch (caught a taxi back). The villa had everything we needed to self cater for breakfasts and dinners and was comfortable in every way. Highly recommended for your stay in this special region!

A spotlessly clean, comfortable apartment. The bedroom and bathroom are stunning. Air conditioning a plus, as are the laundry facilities. Lovely terrace, great views, quiet little village. Easy access to other areas of the Douro. Parking in the apartments’ car park is tricky if you have a big car but possible. There is also some easier parking at the top of the street nearby. Need to drive to restaurants. Limited bench space to prepare food. We really loved our stay here. Easy communication with owner. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Location/view are great 😊 potential for super great and well equiped. though no signs and light on the narrow way up the hill not recommended at dark. Room unique modern design , see through toilet/shower so couples only to my preference. No privacy if you open the curtains to see the view since balconies are one open unit🤷🏼‍♀️ After a week it was SO good to have some vegetables at breakfast.

The property had absolutely stunning views, only a short drive to Pinhao or Peso da Regua. The pool was immaculate and served us well. The house was spacious yet felt cozy. Had lovely breakfasts and the wine tasting from the Quinta was fantastic.

The location is hard to beat with stunning views over the Douro river. We koved the experience of staying on a working vineyard surrounded by vines. The setting is very peaceful with a gorgeous breakfast terrace overlooking the valley. The rooms are very stylish with superb facilities. Ours had a private terrace with views across the vines to the river below. You can book a winery tour as part of your stay.
