I’d like to start by saying that the front desk staff were amazing — truly helpful and professional. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The reception area setup, the parking lot, the room’s cleanliness, and especially the price did not meet expectations. Paying over 1200 SRA for a single room, I had higher hopes — perhaps a spotless bathroom, fresh and convertible bedsheets, or even the small touches like the classic toothbrushes I remember from my first visit in 2013. I also recall that when I requested ice, it arrived late and without a cover or proper packaging. There was no explanation given—no note telling me to retrieve it from the kettle—which I found unprofessional. Sadly, it felt like a completely different hotel now, and not in a good way.

My stay at Holiday Inn Al Khobar was a mixed experience. On the positive side, the food was genuinely excellent—flavorful, fresh, and well-presented. Definitely one of the highlights of the hotel.

Water pressure in toilets was near to none on the 9th floor. One of the toilet hand sink was blocked, we asked room service to fix it, but they fixed it temporarily, which blocked again.
