This is a very professionally done-up hotel, like staying in an antique house. The host was extremely helpful and patient, as we had to use google translate for everything. The common area is the cleanest I've seen. Plenty of restaurants around, though the bus connections to the train station are not so close, best bus stop is about 10-minute walk.
The Fantasy Apartment is located in Hualien just a 5-minute walk from Hualien Railway Station.

Location is good. Within walking distance from Hua Lien train n bus stations. You can also find more than enough eateries to choose from in the vicinity.
Boss n boss lady are very hospitable n helpful. It is unique and heartwarming to have the hotel owner welcoming n attending to u. We planned to cycle around Hualien but rain was expected during our stay. Quick thinking Boss Liu suggested we sign up for some 1-day trips n our stay in Hualien became well spent despite the rain.
