We had a huge room with a couch, 2 chairs, and a gas fireplace. The view was fantastic. The breakfast was great. You have to hike up to the restaurant but it also has a wonderful view. This was 2nd time staying here and I would stay again if in the area. We also enjoyed a drink in the Living area where we were entertained by a very good pianist.
Located just 4 miles from Acadia National Park, Mira Monte Inn & Suites offers free Wi-Fi. Downtown Bar Harbor shopping, dining and the waterfront are a 5-minute walk.
These hotels offer something a little different in the way of design and usually sit in a trendy, urban part of town. More intimate than your average hotel, they offer high standards with a homely vibe.
The property had an individual character which the design, decor and art collection all contributed to. Homemade breakfast with a choice of options each morning was also welcome. Chris was a wonderfully bright and attentive host which helped to make our three nights in Bar Harbour easily the most enjoyable stay of our trip to New England.
Incredible BnB, beautifully decorated with gorgeous bedrooms and relaxing space for guests. Everything is brand new and well thought out. Each bedroom has a stunning bathroom and a big walk-in closet and a lovely balcony to enjoy the morning sun with a cup of tea. The beds are gigantic with super soft bedding, they are pure luxury! The hosts, Martha and Tim, are so welcoming, friendly and helpful with local knowledge of walks and places to eat. The breakfast is incredible, all home cooked and super tasty. We never wanted to leave.
The Inn on Mount Desert was a treat. I stayed there on Christmas Eve, and was able to walk the Coastal Path twice, and a short walk, about 2.5 blocks, brought me past two churches preparing for evening services, to a charming boutique, Sagegrass Gallery, that was open, and the town itself, with its window fronts so creatively adorned for the season.
The room had everything designed for comfort, convenience, and cleanliness. I especially liked the modern bathroom heating.
Breakfast was served restaurant style, and was also excellent.
Spacious and stylish room. Delicious home cooked breakfasts. Lovely homemade cakes and treats. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Great location for a short walk into central Bar Harbor.
Clean room
Friendly staff
Shuttle bus to Acadia Park and Bar Harbour village just across the street
Old style design (probably not intentionally, but I liked it :-) )
For the price I paid, I have no claims - I had a good stay
A room with an old nostalgic design, in a beautiful style with a delightful smell of the linens and soaps. Special atmosphere in the rooms, perfect breakfast
