A Sentimental Journey enjoys a location in Gettysburg, a 8-minute walk from Gettysburg Heritage Center and 1.2 miles from Gettysburg Seminary Ridge Museum.
These hotels offer something unique in terms of design and are usually set in a trendy, urban part of town. Blending high standards with a homey vibe, boutique hotels are more intimate than your average hotel.
Beautiful peaceful and very scenic location a few miles from Gettsberg. Rooms nicely furnished. Lovely spot for a get away and yet only a few minutes drive to town. Very spacious with good air conditioning. Free parking next to our cabin was well appreciated.
Good location. Liked the theme of interior design. Friendly breakfast and housekeeping staff. Comfortable and spacious room. Room included a mini fridge
A lovely little house a short walk from the Gettysburg centre. The suite was cozy and clean. There was plenty of common space, with a substantial library of books on the Civil War. Breakfast was homemade by the innkeeper, who is also the nicest person ever!
Room was recently renovated and updated. Had a lovely porch. Free breakfast was lovely and varied. Fresh waffles! Some disturbed sleep due to room being next to main road.
Nice big comfortable rooms. Warm friendly staff. Hotel is a five min walk to a lovely outlet mall. Ample parking space. Gettysburg's town centre and historic sites are just a 5 min drive away.
Well designed, historic building, lot of public area, amazing library of Civil War books- great for History fans. Annate was so kind and upgraded us to the Lincoln Suite which was marvelous. She was also very helpful in providing us with helpful information about restaurants and sites.
Free parking just behind the hotel.
Second visit staying here. The hosts are so lovely and helpful. I had rooms 3a and 3b and had plenty of space. The big bonus is the 24x7 kitchen where you can help yourself to breakfast and snacks. I was travelling on a budget and the bfast was great. Kind and generous hosts who assisted me and my luggage to the bus station.
Room was comfortable but I would pick Room 3a next time as it was brighter and more spacious and has a mini fridge.
I would definitely stay here again when visiting Gettysburg.
Staff was wonderful! Room was lovely and in keeping with the building's design. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant located downstairs!! Staff was EXCELLENT and food was too! Cocktails made to order! Made us feel right at home. Breakfast was great value, tasty and great staff there as well!
Would definitely come again and stay at The Federal Pointe!!
Stayed two nights. We didn't meet the owners but communication from them was excellent. Stayed in the Irene Danner suite. Plenty of room, a gorgeous four poster bed with steps up that I needed! Also a lovely sitting room and kitchen facilities that we didn't need but appreciate some might. Location is right in the centre near plenty of bars & places to eat. The owners supply plenty of information about the area in the room.
