A very nice hotel at a very reasonable price. Frederick's restaurant was GREAT for coffee & breakfast and the Redwood Room was classy and comfortable. We were treated so well there, by bartender Jackie in particular.
These hotels offer something unique in terms of design and are usually set in a trendy, urban part of town. Blending high standards with a homey vibe, boutique hotels are more intimate than your average hotel.
Fair budget option given the lack of alternatives in the area
Close to a few options to pick up some food - Mill Valley Whole Foods and take aways just 5 mins away

The location was super convenient for us and it was lovely to stay on the water. The unit had everything we needed.
The host was very responsive, and the check-in process was seamless. Parking was always available. It was fun to see the seaplane and helicopter coming and going right outside, and it's only during the day so the noise wasn't a bother. Having the Good Earth (top-notch organic supermarket) a few minutes away is fantastic!
The staff were very nice and I loved the charm and old-school feel of this historic building. The breakfast staff was very friendly and cheerful and worked hard. The coffee was GREAT! The bathroom near dining room was very clean. Lovely view from room into the darkness, no disturbing mercury or street lights.
Great location not far from Golden Gate Bridge. We arrived at 4pm after a long journey and decided to take a 30 minute walk into Sausalito for a meal. Lovely walk along the waterfront. Uber back afterwards took 5 minutes.
We had a very comfy night and were pleasantly surprised by the choice of food available for breakfast, pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt, eggs. All good. Would stay again if in the area.
I remember staying at the hotel the first time many years ago when it first opened. Everything felt new, cool and trendy. Now it is lovely but feels a bit tired like it needs a refresh. Love the breakfast, breakfast room and deck area.
