United KingdomThe hotel is located about half a mile from the town centre (Staunton is not large) in a residential part of town. There is little going on in the immediate vicinity. The main house is rather run down on the outside, but OK inside. As its name implies, the hotel's theme is a mixture of Thai and Victorian - which is a rather odd combination. I like Thai food and have spent a couple of years living in a neighbouring country - and I normally enjoy staying in old properties; but this did not quite work. The hotel rooms have a very cluttered feel.
We had our evening meal in the Thai restaurant attached to the hotel. It was OK and not expensive, but not memorable. The breakfast was also OK. It was Thai-style cooking; there was no choice.
