Avondrood is a small Cape Victorian-style guest house in the historical part of Franschhoek.

Lovely property, huge room/bathroom, great professional staff extremely knowledgeable of the town, activities, wineries, history, etc., and so willing to help to make our stay comfortable. Great breakfast as well. Location is at the heart of the lovely town where we can walk around even in the dark, which is not quite common in the country. Can't say enough about this property and the staff!!!!

This was a last minute addition to our trip, and it was worth it. Well located the apartment is in the heart of Franschhoek. Close to some wonderful eateries and the beautiful valley.

    The design details & finishes are nothing short of inspiring, matched with incredible views... what a gorgeous place to read, write, find your muse - wouldn't be able to get enough time here. Make sure you don't plan too many activities and actually spend time at La Villa to be able to fully enjoy the beautiful space & unique room. Great for a long stay. Breakfast was a real treat too, hit all the spots, & was lovely not to have to leave in a hurry to find food.

    One of the only times that the pictures didn't do justice to the accommodation. The real thing is significantly better. We had a beautifully appointed room, with great design touches and all the functionality needed. Mariette was a natural, welcoming host who went out of her way to make us comfortable. Breakfast was lovely too.

    Monument House is a beautiful and very design orientated small boutique hotel. Wendy, one of the owners, decorated the apartments very thoughtful and stylish. Surrounded by a breathtaking view Monument House is located only a short walk away from beautiful Franschhoek. A marvelous Garden and pool gives a perfect ambient to relax. Within the apartments there is everything one can need for a luxurious and relaxing stay. The hosts are very caring and thoughtful. We had an amazing stay and wish to come back in the future :) highly recommended!

    what a lovely property ! We enjoyed staying with you so much and will definitely return. Your eye for detail, the (interior) design and the absolutely stunning location made this stay unforgettable. Watching the sunsets has definitely been the cherry on top!

    Absolutely stunning - both the scenery /views and the cottage itself. The interior design is spot on, the bathrooms so luxurious, and the beds so so comfy. Bed linen and towels were exceptional. Great kitchen facilities and bbq facilities too - the fact a bag of charcoal is included is a lovely touch!

    What a stunning boutique hotel which is not only being fantastically designed and decorated but the perfect view from the pool and dining area! Can’t forget the amazing staff especially Artwell and Gilbert who looked after us so well! The hotel was just like the pictures on Instagram and they have just been featured in Sunday Times newspaper so book stay before they get booked out!!
