We loved the location. We bbq'd and sat on the deck listening to the birds and watching the kangaroos. We only saw staff as we were leaving. Keyless entry was brilliant, and we felt like it was our own piece of paradise. The only criticism is that you need to be very good friends with your travel companion as there was nothing but a sliding door between the toilet and the bedroom/villa.

Set amongst 25 acres in the heart of the Hunter Valley, Hermitage Lodge is home to an award-winning Italian restaurant. Each room has a private deck overlooking the hotel’s vineyard. Excellent staff. Nicole on reception was extremely helpful when we mislaid a mobile phone.

We had a fantastic stay at the Berenbell Vineyard Retreat! Suzie + Ken were very warm and friendly hosts. The grounds are spacious and very well maintained. Our cottage was comfortably furnished and very private. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the great view from our patio. We could even see wallabies and kangaroos. We would book again anytime. Highly recommend!
