We loved this property because of the historical look and feel of the place. While the rooms were modern and the amenities excellent, the real clincher was the warmth of the hosts, and the excellent home-cooked breakfasts.

Set in the centre of historical Ghent, a 5-minute walk from Saint Michael’s Church and the scenic Graslei along Leie River, you can find B&B Allegra Nova. This is a perfect location to explore Ghent on foot and is located in a great neighborhood. There is an express market, delicious bakery, unique shops, and pharmacy all within a couple of blocks. Gravensteen is only about 4 blocks away. Andre is a fantastic host. He provided a wealth of information and recommendations. The room and bathroom are spacious and comfortable and the amenities were exceptional. I unfortunately forgot to update him on my arrival time, but Andre was very forgiving and gracious. I would stay here again and highly recommend!

Wonderful, spacious and comfortable apartment in great location. So glad we stayed here, it couldn’t have been any nicer. The fireplace was a nice bonus on the cold evenings. Close to historic sights, restaurants, shopping and grocery. Did take taxi to/from train station.
