Extreme nice and attentive staff which makes you feel well. Rooms were generous and well designed. Great restaurant with delicious food. Breakfast was excellent. Everything was over expectations!

Set in the Portuguese Quarter with its many shops and restaurants, Clipper Boardinghouse - Hamburg-Michel provides apartments that are just a 5-minute walk from Hamburg Harbour. Everything really. First of all the location: The apartment is right next to the "Michel", the port, the Elphilharmonie and Speicherstadt, Altstadt etc are therefore in walkable distance. But it's also just a few minutes walk from the U3 stations Baumwall and Landungsbrücken so getting around is very easy. There is a Rewe supermarket just next door. The apartment is located in the lively Portugiesenviertel with plenty of café, bar and restaurant options. Second, the apartment itself was very modern and clean. It was a two level apartment with a very well equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave/oven, dishwasher, Nespresso, water boiler, stove), table and couch and a nice terasse with a view on the park and of the "Michel" on the lower floor and the bed bathroom with a very spacious nice shower on the upper floor. The toilet was separate. There was plenty of space and comfort for our family of three and we really enjoyed spending time there. Third, the hotel: The check-in was automatic via a computer screen and one could manage to do everything alone, but there was also a small office with very friendly personal who helped us with all our questions and demands. The house also offered a shared laundry room with 3 washing machines and dryers each and free laundry storage before check-in and after check-out. We would definitely stay here again. So if you like the concept of an apartment hotel, I am sure you will like it here as much as we did.
