We really did not want to stay in a high-rise style hotel along the Nile and preferred a place with more character and color. Le Riad fit the bill. The suites are really spectacular. Huge and very well appointed. Sitting areas, balcony over the street and a lovely bathroom. Breakfast on the rooftop was glorious. The souk is a few blocks away and it seems that everything is happening on Muei Street. A lot of action. We had dinner at the restaurant on the roof which also was excellent (no alcohol). The neighborhood is interesting and fun. Lots of shops and restaurants and lots of people.
