Hotel de France is housed in a former coaching inn and is located on the edge of Mende’s town centre. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from Mende Cathedral. The Comfort Room in the separate Villa des Jardins was beautifully appointed with a large comfortable bed, quality linen and comfortable chairs. Quiet and very clean. Easy distance from train station and centre. Very helpful manager and staff. Excellent service and food in the restaurant for dinner.

This charming 18th-century guest house is an ideal base for visiting the medieval city of Carcassonne. It offers individually-decorated rooms and a floral garden with a pond and a shaded terrace. Magnifique! The property is very beautiful, well maintained and clean. The proprietor was very helpful and gave lots of recommendations. The room is very spacious, comfortable and well decorated, with mini fridge, coffee maker and more. The swimming pool was great for refreshing in the summer. The location is excellent, very close to the fortified city and the main sights.

Offering a outdoor pool, La Casa Occitane is a 19th Century winemaking estate located in Marseillan. Roberto was a truly excellent host. Great breakfast and conversation with the host in the mornings. Comfortable and quiet accommodations. Excellent location with ample free parking nearby, food market, restaurant, and wine store. Looking forward to our next stay!

Carcassonne Guesthouse is a B&B located in Carcassonne. The property is situated on the river Aude and features a shared terrace with views of the castle. An amazing terrasse view to start and end the day with, well situated and close to everything, and an amazing host to boot. Thank you, Patrick, for your hospitality and generosity. Your holiday home in charming Montpelier, with Mediterranean vibe We stayed at Philip's place in Feb 2025. Everything looks exactly as on the pictures. Philip thought of literally everything. The place is very compact yet not small at all, and very smartly functional. All the little decorative details give it the unmistakable Mediterranean holiday vibe. The terrace with a lot of plants and sunny view throughout the entire afternoon is a real bonus! We sunbathed in the middle of February! It is private and quiet. The bed is big and very comfortable too. Beautiful, beautiful place! In relation to location, to get to the Old Town, there is a 10-15 min walk, which is nothing compared to the hours you undoubtedly will spend lost in the endless little streets there, full of history and charm. 3 min away there is a Lidl shop and another supermarket, if you need anything to buy. We personally would highly recommend eating out. The delicious French cuisine in Montpellier is taken to a new level! A must is also to pay a visit to any of the local bakeries, which are everywhere. What amazed us was that, believe it or not, there are no tourist traps in Montpellier, we were told. You can trust any eating place there. Experienced travelers, who have visited many countries and places, we absolutely fell in love with Montpellier! Philip provided us with really detailed and useful information about anything you can think of, including opening hours, telephone numbers, websites - a mini pocket tour guide. We had dinner in 2 of the recommended places, and the food was incredible!! On top of that, as we went there by Philip's recommendation, we enjoyed complimentary drinks as well. We can't thank Philip enough for his kind help and warm hospitality, and if ever in the area again, we would love to stay there again. Highly recommended place! The value for money is beyond belief.

Maison Orsini B&B is located just outside the historic city of Avignon and offers views over the Papal Palace, Avignon-Villeneuve and St André Fort. The hotel has a beautiful garden with a terrace overlooking the Rhone and Avignon where you can have breakfast. We had a comfortable cottage very nicely decorated. The main house is a 14th century building where breakfast is served.

Brilliant Hotel with a huge attention for details which creates a cosy atmosphere. I am guessing the real origin of Hygge style is the Villa Ambrosia.
