On the edge of the Scottish Borders, the castle is surrounded by Peeblesshire countryside. The location of the hotel is great and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious!

Special diets can be catered for. Perfect place for a visit to Melrose and area. Excellent staff, nice, big , comfortable rooms,, old style pub and restaurant downstairs.. The Borders bus can be caught just outside the door and the train station in Tweedbank is just a short taxi ride (we were lucky to get a ride from a local who was also on the train). We enjoyed everything about our four days in Melrose.
