This guest house was lovely. The room is large and has two very comfortable chairs. This is the best bed we have slept in over the course of this 3 week vacation. It is quiet, and I slept like a contented baby! The town of Hawick is very charming, also.

Set in 25 acres of mature grounds, the Barony Castle Hotel is an impressive castle has a stylish award winning restaurant and modern leisure centre. The location of the hotel is great and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was delicious!

Perfect place for a visit to Melrose and area. Excellent staff, nice, big , comfortable rooms,, old style pub and restaurant downstairs.. The Borders bus can be caught just outside the door and the train station in Tweedbank is just a short taxi ride (we were lucky to get a ride from a local who was also on the train). We enjoyed everything about our four days in Melrose.
