Excellent staff, nice, big , comfortable rooms,, old style pub and restaurant downstairs.. The Borders bus can be caught just outside the door and the train station in Tweedbank is just a short taxi ride (we were lucky to get a ride from a local who was also on the train). We enjoyed everything about our four days in Melrose.
