Boasting breathtaking views over the harbour, this luxury apart-hotel is ideally situated on the promenade in the commercial area of Douglas, on the picturesque Isle of Man. The location was absolutely perfect for a multi day stay; close to the ferry port, grocery stores, restaurants and bus/train transit. The workout room and laundry were a nice surprise.

The seafront Ellan Vannin Hotel overlooks Douglas Bay and Douglas Beach. The hotel is 1 minutes’ walk from the beach and within 5 minutes’ walk of the ferry terminal and bus station. Lovely and very helpful staff. Good location.

On Queens Promenade in Douglas, Edelweiss Guest House is a long-established guest house with sea views. It is only a 5-minute walk from the Manx Electric Railway and Horse Tram Terminus. Located on the promenade, it allows access to the seashore and public transportation. The first day, I hopped on a coach to Erin. There is a lovely Indian restaurant around the corner. Edelweiss staff were always friendly, and they served a delicious, gigantic breakfast. Plus, there's a lift so I didn't have to carry my bags upstairs. Tea and biscuits in my room. Fantastic!
