Lovely stay, Stephanie and John are very nice and welcoming, bed is so confortable and bathroom with the choice of bath or shower is great. Breakfeast was world class. Advises for diner was great too. Really enjoy the stay!

Parts of the building date back to 1650 and still feature beautiful period features, such as original wooden beams, handmade bricks and ship timbers. The lodge’s rich history means it has a wealth of character and original charm. We received the warmest welcome we have ever had in a hotel. Everything was of a high standard. Great breakfast, plenty of choice.

The hotel occupies a 15th-century Grade 1 listed building, with contemporary fixtures and fittings. The rooms offer a flat-screen TV, a work desk and a seating area. The private bathrooms include rainmaking showers and a handheld. We loved the hotel: very chic and welcoming. The food was very tasty and recommend the restaurant; amazing vegan choices!

The award-winning Riverview Restaurant serves a lunchtime menu, a varied evening menu all made with locally sourced ingredients. The location was stunning. the hotel was just amazing and felt like we had gone back in time with all the history that surrounds it. our bedroom was clean and cozy and just beautiful. The staff were all helpful and friendly. we ate dinner in the evening at the river view restaurant, the food was amazing as was breakfast, we took the boat trip and took a walk along the river, can’t believe we had never heard of this place. was the most perfect stay.

Beresfords, our 2 AA Rosette award winning restaurant offers some of the finest locally sourced food in the area. Our second restaurant The Lodge Kitchen and Bar with pizza oven, is a beautifully decorated "stretched tent" which opens onto our delightful outdoor Terrace. Excellent facilities, room and the staff were lovely. Even stopped for dinner every night of the trip!
