Built of stone, Bastione Malvasia Hotel is situated in the medieval castle of Monemvasia, just 300 metres from the gate. The view of the sea and the beauty feeling of having the place all to myself. It’s at the end of the island so you feel so away from the busy street life however is only a 3 minute walk to the busy area. It does get dark at night walking back so perhaps plan to use your phone for light at night.

Set amidst lush greenery, at an altitude of 600 metres, the traditionally built Guesthouse Mazaraki is situated close to the picturesque village of Mystras, offering views of the Byzantine castle of... I could easily say this was the most gorgeous property I’ve ever stayed in. The rooms are large and comfortable, the little kitchen is great and has everything you’ll need if you fancy cooking a small meal indoors. The staff are the most friendly and do their utmost to give you the best experience. The breakfast was delicious and you get to enjoy it in your own room. Lucky for us the weather was lovely so we are it in our little balcony overlooking the stunning view.

Set in a mid-19th-century neoclassical house right opposite Kapodistrias Square, the boutique hotel Nafsimedon offers a small garden with palm trees overlooking Kolokotronis Park. The staff were very welcoming and friendly! We even received complimentary bottle of local wine. The entire building is very charming and the room was was spacious and extremely clean. Our room entered into the beautiful garden where we enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast in the morning. There is a beautiful garden opposite the hotel and you have views of the Paladimi Fortress. The hotel is a short walking distance from the old town and beautiful walking paths.

Beautifully restored Pension Dafni is located in Nafplio’s Old Town, underneath Palamidi Fortress, 200 metres from Arvanitia Beach. Proximity to the bus station and tourist sites. Very comfortable room and well stocked with coffee, tea and water. Maria did an amazing job in showing me the routes to different places. Housekeeping kept the room clean every day.

Former residence of a 19th century mayor of Nafplion, Ilion is situated in the centre of the Old Town, overlooking Syntagma Square. It features classical furnishings and rooms with different themes. We had a great time at this lovely well-maintained old-style hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and had a very intimate feeling. The wine offered to us on arrival was highly appreciated. The breakfast was plentiful, with delicious local products. The location was fantastic, albeit difficult to reach with heavy suitcases. Otherwise very close to the city center, restaurants, beach, public parking.

Housed in a traditional, renovated building, the family-run Nafplion 1841 is in Nafplio Town, 30 metres from Syntagma Square. Great location. Clean, comfortable room with a balcony and view along the picturesque street. Breakfast was huge and full of lots of tasty treats. Staff were all friendly and welcoming.
