They went above and beyond to make this an unforgettable experience and I cannot thank them enough! The view from the seaside rooms is amazing and the beds are very comfy, the traditional dinner is on point and the staff is just wonderful.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Each comes with a flat-screen TV and an electric kettle with green tea bags. All rooms have a private toilet, and some have shared bathroom facilities. We had a room overlooking the ocean wIth great views - with a balcony where we could sit and relax while enjoying the ocean and the sunset. The room was a traditional Japanese room with tatami and futon, which enhanced the experience! The location of the hotel was a mere 5 - 10 minute walk from the ferry, directly on the main road leading through town. On our way out the next morning, while at breakfast my wife asked a worker to fill her water bottle with hot water, which she gladly agreed to do. A few minutes later, forgetting about the water bottle, we left for the ferry. While sitting at the station waiting for the next ferry, the lady came running up (and I mean running) to return the now full water bottle. Needless to say the staff was great!

The property offers easy access to multiple shops and restaurants nearby. Great location, right next to everything, walking distance is 50meters to most food, entertainment or konbini. The hotel felt new and modern.The room are huge, seems to be double of what i have experience in japan so far from budget to premium. Huge bathroom with a giant bathtub and a adjacent washing section with a stool. The toliet is adjacent to the bathroom instead of an integrated cube in most hotels.

The hotel is featured in Michelin Green Guide Japan 2013. A free shuttle is available from Hiroshima Station, a 30-minute ride away. The view, the view, the view. Plus, the hotel was very elegant. Extra bonus is the hydrofoil boat that docks outside the hotel that takes you to and from Itsukushima Island. The hotel was the site of the G7 conference in 2023, with lots of photos documenting the summit. The hotel is also used for weddings, and we got to watch the end of a lovely wedding, with the new bride and groom walking up a three-story circular stairway, while the wedding guests applauded the couple from the balconies overlooking the three-story central grand lobby. Just lovely.

Hotel Granvia Hiroshima is directly connected to the JR Hiroshima Shinkansen (Bullet Train) Station. This Michelin 3-star rated hotel offers modern accommodation with 6 restaurants, massage services and rooms with free Wi-Fi. it was the perfect location.... right next to the train station with all amenities, restaurants and others that one is expecting. also as it was raining, the perfect spot to move around without getting wet. Besides, the entire staff (especially Selim) were just so friendly and helpful..
