Mitsui Garden Hotel Kumamoto is a 20-minute walk from Kumamoto Castle and a 5-minute drive from JR Kumamoto Station. It offers modern accommodation with a cafe, massage services and free internet. The place is decent and we were very happy with the quality of breakfast buffet. The ingredients are fresh and the food was good and nutritious.

Dormy Inn Kumamoto Natural Hot Spring is centrally located in Kumamoto, in front of the Kumamoto Bus Terminal and 1.6 km from the JR Kumamoto Station. The top floor onsen is wonderful. it is small but very relaxing. Can feel the breeze at the outdoor onsen. The hotel provided free popsicles, probiotic drinks, and free ramen at night. Staffs are nice. the massage is great!
