The staff were exceptional — we were sad to leave ! And the food was a highlight of our trip to Japan. The room very spacious and a nice experience of traditional Japanese hospitality and design. Would recommend for anyone looking for a beautifully authentic Japanese experience.

Conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from JR Karuizawa Shinkansen (bullet train) Station, Hotel Grand Vert Kyu Karuizawa offers spacious guestrooms with a comfortable sofa and free WiFi. This is a fantastic hotel; location, service, amenities, and the room were all excellent. The people at the front desk were friendly and very helpful, this applied to literally 5-6 people I had interacted with. The service was great, even after electing not to have our room made up, we came back to fresh waters and towels by the door. The room was spacious and very clean. We had the traditional Japanese room, two double beds with a tatami area, for a family of 4, two kids 11 and 14, there were plenty of space for us. Futons were available for the tatami area which was perfect the kids, and the beds were much softer than the typical hotels in Japan. Separate shower and toilet room, both with sinks, was also very convenient. There’s also a library next to a lounge area with a cozy fireplace and cushy leather chairs and free espresso and drinks. I was able to get some work done without being disturbed as it was very quiet. The hotel is about a 7-8 min leisure walk from the Kariuzawa station, super quiet neighborhood, though it may be because the ski season had virtually ended. It took around 10-15 min walk from the hotel to the outlet shopping area in the south side of the station, which had all of the restaurants. The location was superb, easy to find places to eat and get to the ski resort, a 10 min free bus ride from the outlet area.

Karuizawa Prince Hotel boasts 3 dining options, a large-scale shopping mall with 240 shops, hot-spring・open-air baths and a steam sauna facility, various golf courses and on-site ski slopes. The buffet breakfast was very good and the hot springs were even better. It's very comfortable even if you stay in the hotel for a whole day without going out.

Menawarkan berbagai pemandian air panas dalam ruangan dan luar ruangan, Izumiya Zenbe adalah akomodasi bergaya Jepang yang bersejarah dengan suasana elegan, didirikan pada tahun 1876. It was a super nice stay, we loved the dinner and the staff super friendly.

Terletak di hutan, Tokonamiso menawarkan tempat peristirahatan alami dengan kamar bergaya Jepang, fasilitas barbekyu, dan akses Wi-Fi gratis di area lobi. Felt like the price quality ratio was quite good, considering the comfortable beds, great onsen with outside bath with no roof, hence able to stay in the onsen and just look at the stars , quiet location in the mountains. We went by car and parked for free, but I understand they have some shuttle buses for one of the nakasendo posttowns.
